It’s Wednesday, Huskies!
We’re starting off this morning with bountiful sunshine to illuminate those fall leaves while they’re still here. Be sure to get outside and soak in the fresh air! Some clouds are sulking off the Pacific coast, which can be seen on satellite imagery, pictured below. These stratus are slowly meandering into the Sound, but should stay offshore for the majority of the day today thanks to some slight winds protecting us here in Seattle from a marine push. The majority of Washingtonians will enjoy the sun’s rays this morning and afternoon.
We can expect temperatures to reach the low to mid-50s today, which is right around our normal high of 54 degrees for this time of year. Tonight’s low is expected to be on the chillier side, right around 40 degrees, which is slightly below the average low of 43 degrees for early November. November is also the month that typically brings us an onslaught of rainfall and wind, which we’ve had plenty of already, to give us rainfall totals right around normal as well: just over an inch.
However, for the rest of week 7, you can expect some sunshine with clouds, slightly above-average highs, and light breezes until the rain returns on the weekend. If you’re itching to get outside and enjoy what sunlight we have left in the afternoons, we recommend getting that done before the weekend rolls around, or you’ll be met with dreary skies and disappointment. The good news is that there shouldn’t be any wind associated with this incoming rain, so you may be able to get away with using an umbrella..for now. There is also no school next Monday as we’ll be observing Veterans Day.
Enjoy the sunshine and stay dry this 3-day weekend, Huskies. Rest up while you can, as our next extended weekend isn’t until Thanksgiving.
